After several years of decentralized work and small collaborations, we came together as a collective in 2022 as part of "Zukunftsstadt Dresden" and are now part of the non-profit association Konglomerat. This has existed since 2011 with the purpose of providing organizational and technical support for craft, cultural, artistic and social projects from civil society.
The collective is made up of people from the fields of art, architecture, crafts and urbanism, which is reflected in the multidisciplinary work between art, design, spatial planning and social engagement. Our main motivation is to appropriate public space with various formats and in cooperation with other city makers. To this end, we work with city dwellers to create low-threshold access to activities, workshops and social and cultural offerings in the neighborhood. We see our work as part of urban practice and urban development for the common good. We focus on a do-it-together mentality and combine this with approaches from activist research
We develop temporary, flexible formats that can be implemented quickly to revitalize places and create space for encounters, creativity and exchange.
From idea to implementation, we support participatory construction projects that focus on joint planning and action in order to realize sustainable and user-centered solutions.
We create concepts and implement measures that transform derelict or unused spaces into vibrant places where community and new opportunities can emerge.
We share our knowledge and experience in interactive formats to open up new perspectives, stimulate discussion and strengthen skills in urban topics.
Through practical research, we develop innovative approaches that initiate social and spatial transformations and promote sustainable urban development.
